Here are guest contributor assignments for Idolminded this week:

1. Other Fandoms post. 400 to 500 words exploring a particular way that a non-idol fandom can teach us something about idol fandom. Emphasis on the relevant links / analogies between this other fandom and what we experience as fans of Asian idols. $15 will be paid for this article. Must be delivered within a week of assignment confirmation.

2. Blogger Spotlight post. 400 to 500 words profiling an idol blog (Jpop or Kpop), emphasizing what makes it worth reading. Must include specific mention of at least two posts from the blog that are considered exemplary and some examination of why that is so. Preference will be given to blogs that weren’t regularly covered by Intl Wota, though love for our regulars will never be ruled out. $15 will be paid for this article. Must be delivered within a week of assignment confirmation.

Please send all queries to jobboard@idolminded.com with the desired article as the subject title; describe your intentions for the article and please include the URL to your blog or any other writing sample you wish to share. Active idol bloggers will be considered before others, though all are welcome to make queries.

Receiving the assignment does not automatically mean your final draft will be accepted; if your article does not meet requirements, revisions will be requested. If revisions do not suffice, article will be rejected and no payment made. All accepted articles will be edited as needed before publication. Guest contributors will be paid upon publication via Paypal; no other method will be considered.
